Traveling, especially as a solo woman is incredibly scary, challenging, complicated, and most of all, amazing. Adriana Smith has been there and seen it all and for anyone that’s wanted to get out there, experience different cultures, see new places, and do good in the world, Travepreneur is your source for everything you need to know.
Armed with this fresh perspective and experience, Adriana decided that part of her mission would be to help people overcome their travel fears and get out there and do it. Yes, even in today’s day and age, a solo woman can travel the world and have an amazing experience too. It’s totally possible if you commit to making no excuses and setting goals to see the world.
Each year, Adriana helps over 100 new travelers go abroad through her coaching and expertise. She’s also devoted a great deal of time and energy to helping young women of color specifically overcome the unique challenges they face when traveling abroad. In fact, she is the author of “Studying Abroad for Black Women,” the first-ever guide detailing the what, where, why, and how for black female college students. Her motto is: “You can’t run the world, if you’ve never seen the world.”
She has been featured in over a dozen media outlets, including Essence, SELF, Hello Giggles, Mic, and Cheapism. You can follow her adventures, travel advice, and most importantly, learn how to do as much good as possible while you travel.
